ABOUT MRS. CALLAGHAN

WELCOME:
Greetings incoming seventh graders. This will be my twenty-second year teaching in Marblehead and my twenty seventh year teaching total. Science is one of my passions and I am so excited to get to teach it every day!!!
FYI:
I grew up in this very town of Marblehead. Upon graduating from Marblehead High in 1989 I headed off to the University of Arizona in Tucson (not to be confused with Arizona State). I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and began my teaching career in Chelmsford, MA as a founding teacher at the Murdoch Middle School (a charter school based on Systems Thinking and Systems Dynamics). After meeting my husband, I decided to return to Marblehead and taught 6th grade at the Village School for 6 years. Sixteen years ago, I made my way up to the Marblehead Veteran's Middle School. I earned my masters degree in secondary education with a science concentration from Endicott College.
